2018 Gallery Rental Opportunities
In 2018, Barrett Art Center offers artists the opportunity to rent space in our first floor galleries for group or solo shows. This is an exciting opportunity for established and emerging artists to exhibit their work in our unique, historic galleries.

Exhibitions are open to the public during BAC operating hours: Wednesday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays, Noon to 3:00 p.m.
Rental fee includes an additional two-hour reception period, per staff availability. Renting artist is responsible for all reception costs
Eligible media include drawing, painting, pastel, printmaking, photography, sculpture, fiber, mixed media works, et al. We invite proposals of both contemporary and traditional works that create a visually compelling complement, or counterpoint, to Barrett Art Center’s 1830s Greek Revival townhouse interiors.
Rentals are available on a limited basis; approval process is ongoing. Rental Applications will be reviewed by Barrett staff and the BAC Exhibitions Committee. Approval criteria include artwork content and quality, gallery space availability, and relevance to the exhibition goals of BAC. Artists may rent in either Winter or Spring, but not both.
Note: Changes in gallery availability will occur as galleries are booked. Please call for up-to-date information on availability.
Gallery Rental Rates
Gallery 1, 2, 3, & Crenson Gallery:
$320 each members; $345 each non-members
Foyer Gallery: $100 members; $115 non-members
Installation and take down are allowed two (2) days before and two (2) days after exhibition dates. Renters are responsible for leaving gallery in the manner in which it is received. All holes should be patched and sanded (painted with materials supplied by BAC, where appropriate).
Barrett Art Center will promote the exhibit through the BAC website and eNewsletter. It is the responsibility of the Renter to promote, advertise and distribute exhibition marketing material and reception invitations. Artists may leave business cards, biographies and other information in their gallery space.
