Advanced Photography Seminar

with Dan McCormack and Mike Sibilia

This course is offered on Thursdays, 6:00 pm
Sessions are scheduled 4-6 weeks apart. Please call or email for details.

Get meaningful and regular feedback on photo projects. Bring work in progress - whether it's two prints or twenty - to each session. The group considers and responds to each photographer's progress. The discussions provide invaluable insight as each body of work develops.

New students may enroll with the moderators' approval.

Tuition:  $160/4 sessions.

DAN McCORMACK earned an MFA in photography from the School of the Art Institute, Chicago. He won the Figurative Photography 2009 grant from the Ultimate Eye Foundation, was featured at the Peninsula Art Museum in California and has exhibited internationally. Dan heads the photography program at Marist College, Poughkeepsie.

Now you have the picture (or all few thousand of them), what next? Learn the basics -- how to both organize and develop images in Adobe Lightroom, a relatively inexpensive and powerful database and editing software program. This is a program that can interface with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Elements. It organizes, sorts, develops and prints. The interface can be a little daunting at first, but the payoff is large. Importing and organizing, basic editing and printing will be covered. Basic computer experience necessary.

Requirements: Laptop with Adobe Lightroom installed (demo version is fine.)
Instructor approval necessary. Call or email for information
Registration: or 845.227.3775
