April 1 - May 31, 2019
Presented by Barrett Art Center at The Artist’s Palate
307 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601
Rudy Vavra is a fine artist with an active studio in New York's Hudson Valley. His work has been exhibited nationally. Although mostly known as an abstract painter working primarily in oils, Vavra has also exhibited drawings and watercolor paintings.
Making paintings often results in unused paint. Rather than throw this “waste paint” away, Vavra applies it to an 8” x 10” canvas. These small palette paintings embody a relationship between randomness and beauty.
Barrett Art Center’s collaborative exhibition program at The Artist’s Palate promotes, supports, and connects member artists with new audiences at this prominent Hudson Valley fine dining destination. Barrett Art Center members and Barrett exhibition alumni are given preference when curating and planning two-month exhibits at The Artist’s Palate, 307 Main St., Poughkeepsie, New York, 12601.
