Barrett Art Center’s Noxon Street Neighborhood Program is a series of community-based arts and cultural activities and events that take place both at our building at 55 Noxon Street in the City of Poughkeepsie and in our immediate neighborhood (see, maps, at right and below).

Together, NSNP promote collaborations and welcomes participants from across the City and the region, with a focus on serving neighborhood children, families, and residents of all ages, in partnership with our neighbors at the Adriance Library, Clinton Elementary School, & Christ Church. This hyper-local focus helps us all increase our positive collective impact in our neighborhood.

Programs include Barrett Kids: Art After School, the Fall Community Open House, and the Noxon Street Block Party & Clean Up.

Volunteers & Interns help make Noxon Street Neighborhood Programs free to the community. BAC staff, volunteers, and interns attend a variety of community events to get to know our neighbors and learn about their needs and interests. We conduct surveys at these off-site community events to help guide program development and assess program impacts.
